Drug Driving Suit Mimics Effects of Illegal Drugs

Scientist from the Meyer-Henschel Institute in Germany have unveiled a suit that simulates the effects of illegal substances, in an effort to demonstrate to young drivers the dangers of driving while under the influence of drugs. The suit was developed for the Ford Motor Company as part of its Ford Driving Skills for Life programme, a free educational course which is designed for new drivers.

GPs told to report unsafe drivers

GPs have been given new guidance from the General Medical Council instructing them to report elderly patients to the DVLA if they believe they are no longer fit to drive. The GMC has said that GPs duty to protect the public comes ahead of any concerns over patient confidentiality.
